BIO

Lori earned a B.F.A. at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, in Portland, Oregon. She has shown her work in group exhibitions such as “ARTISTS OF OREGON” at the Portland Art Museum, “THE NEW REALISTS” at Arts Place Gallery, “IMAGES” at Northwest Marylhurst College (Funded by the Oregon Committee for the Humanities), “WOMEN ARTISTS OF THE NORTHWEST” sponsored by Calyx Magazine at the Northwest Artist Workshop, “MADE IN CALIFORNIA”,  at the City of Brea Gallery, juried by the curator of the UCLA Hammer Museum, “EXPLORE THIS” juried by the director of the San Diego Museum of art, and has also been represented by James Clark Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and the William Merrill Gallery, in Laguna Beach, California. Her work has been purchased by the Portland Metropolitan Arts Commission, the Washington State Arts Commission, and the Oregon State Arts Commission, as well as the American Society of University of Women, and can be seen in different state, city, and public buildings around the Northwest. Her artwork has been featured in the Portland Downtowner Newspaper, Spectrum Magazine of the Arts, Portland Review Magazine, the Oregonian Newspaper, the Gresham Outlook Newspaper, the Gazette, the Sandy Post, the Mountain Times, the American Artists of the Reknown publication, Calyx Magazine (A Journal of Art and Literature by Women, funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Oregon Arts Commission). Her artwork was also featured in the Academy award nominated film “THEY KNEW YOU BY NAME” funded by the National Endowment of the Humanities. She was also awarded grants by the Metropolitan Arts Commission in Portland, Oregon, The Puffin Foundation, and the Clackamas County Cultural Coalition (made possible by funding from the Oregon Cultural Trust and managed by the Clackamas County Arts Alliance) for art classes offered in her studio and gallery, for young people and teens.
