“BRIDGE TO THE OTHER SIDE” acrylic
painting on canvas 5' 9" x 5'9" in size, of the Fremont Bridge in Portland, Oregon.
I started this painting in Portland and finished it in California. When I moved back
to Portland, I brought it with me to my studio in Sandy. This image served as the inspiration for my visual journeys to places
in my dreams that I had never been (the other side), and then back again, to my every day world.
My newest body of work is called "BRIDGES TO
PORTLANDIA". Like my "BRIDGE TO THE OTHER SIDE" Portlandia is to another place. Half fantasyland, not too populated,
a little "wierd" by most standards, and definetly a place to play. And "Portlandia" is definetly Portland
in its finest mood.
